Park St Bike Lanes

These werre the bike lanes on Park St in the Sydney CBD, the only bike lanes in the city. They connect to the now disgointed William St bike lanes. But as of now they are no longer, as part of the papal visit this area becomes a bus lane.

Now in a community consulataion meeting it has been stated that the bike lanes would be restored - what BikeSydney want to know is when? So in that we have sent a letter to Minister Watkins, who is responsible for this red stripe asking that question. Read our letter here.

Also the City of Sydney did have an idea for Park St, but obviously the government chose to ignore this.

    Any news on whether we will at least get a bike symbol painted on the bus lane? Seems the government have gotten away with just stripping us of a bike path - and where are the buses anyway? The lane just gets filled with cars and motorbikes..grrr!
