BikeSydney is affiliated with Bicycle NSW whose mission is

Last Word
Upto 4 years ago the City of Sydney had done nothing for cycling. Then there were boundry changes and the City of Sydney bought in (what was) the South Sydney Council Area and some of the Leichhardt Council Area. We have some great councilors available to us now so some changes have been taking place.

BikeSydney is working to create a safer, more livable city. Our efforts so far have resulted in the initiation in a new bike plan, involvement on the City of Sydney Bike Steering Committee and the roll out of bike parking rings - but there’s much more work ahead if we’re going to achieve our vision of a Sydney where everyone feels safe and comfortable riding their bike.

We have the successful track record. We have the political support. We have dedicated volunteers. All we need to transform this city into a bicycling paradise is you!

Join more than 250 BikeSydney members in supporting a cost effective, environmentally sound transportation system that does not rely on petrol. By becoming a member, you will help us ensure that everyone, from 8 to 80, can safely enjoy bicycling in Sydney, that streets in every part of town are bike friendly, that bike parking and showers greet us where we work, and that bike paths throughout our city are improved and extended.

We ask every cyclist who lives in the city, rides to the city or just rides through the city join BikeSydney.
