Cycling in Sydney

Glebe foreshore shared path for bike riders and pedestrians

The City of Sydney is a great place to get around by bicycle…and it’s going to get even better.

The City is compact and with a bit of planning you can avoid most of the steepest hills.

The weather is forgiving. In winter there are plenty of cafes to keep you fuelled and in summer you’re never too far from a beach or public pool.

In most shopping strips you’ll find bike rings or u-rails to lock your bike to. ┬áIf you come across a place that could use some bike parking you can log a request via the council here.

In this section of the website you’ll find tips to help new and experienced riders. If you have any questions or tips please drop us a line.
